Our Mission:
GameCulture Journal is a magazine dedicated to pursuing thoughtful analysis of video games and video game culture. It seeks to explore with critical eyes the areas of video game journalism that are largely ignored by the mainstream media. Founded in 2006, it is the product of collaboration between two editors with backgrounds in cultural and media studies as well as the hard work of contributing writers.
GameCulture journal hopes create material that is accessible yet sometimes challenging in order to stimulate intellectual thought . The editors believe that educating video game players and facilitating discourse is essential for improving the quality of games and game culture.
The magazine is currently published quarterly as a free online PDF document.
