Kevin is a graduate student in Film Studies and English at North Carolina State University. His current research is on British cinema in the late 1960s, ideas surrounding "cult" entertainments, and the films of the American counterculture. His approach to video games is interdisciplinary, synthesizing the nascent field of "game studies" with more established disciplinary traditions. Despite a lifelong interest/appreciation in video games, Kevin approaches them in an unapologetically critical way. In addition to several upcoming publications and conference papers, Kevin is currently busy as general editor of The Modest Proposal. |
Bobby is a graduate student in the Digital Media program at the Georgia Institute of Technology. His studies focus on video games, fan cultures, and design. During his undergradate years in the media studies program at the University of Virginia, his coursework dealt with film studies and digital media studies. As a game enthusiast, collector, and scholar, he firmly believes in the mission statement of GameCulture Journal: accessible video game academics and criticism are the key to improving the quality of games and the culture of game players. |
